Lindsay Bernard and Kevin Umstead exchanged wedding vows at 5:30 p.m. June 24, 2012, in Bradenton Beach, Fla. Emily Hurt was officiant during the beach ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas and Sandra Toepper of Tiffin.
The groom is the son of James and Patricia Umstead of Fairview Park.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an ivory lace and crystal-beaded, strapless gown with an eggplant sash. Her headpiece was a birdcage veil with crystal trim attached to ivory flowers. She carried a round bouquet of ivory roses, an assortment of purple flowers and pale green hydrangeas, held by hand-knotted ivory ribbon.
Cathy Branson was her sister's matron of honor and Monica Umstead, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amrine Obermueller, Lauren Branson and Amelia Bernard. The flower girl was Ellie Bernard. They wore knee-length black dresses. They carried small round bouquets of assorted purple flowers with pale green hydrangeas hand-tied with purple ribbon.
Chad Lupson was best man and Niall Garvin was man of honor. Groomsmen were Tony Bernard, Brett Tipul and Andrew Branson.
The bride, a 2005 graduate of Columbian High School, graduated in 2009 from Wright State University with a bachelor's degree in liberal studies. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in sign language interpretation from University of Cincinnati. She works as a sign language facilitator.
The groom graduated in 2004 from Fairview Park High School and received a degree in construction management in 2010 from Bowling Green State University. He is a project coordinator for Lakeshore Toltest.
Honoring the bride with a bridal shower were her sister, Cathy Branson, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Bernard.
A rehearsal dinner took place at the groom's grandparents' condo in Longboat Key, Fla.
A reception is to be July 29, 2012, in Tiffin.
The couple reside at 3065 Lantern Drive, Oregon, following a western Caribbean Carnival cruise.
