Stop beating drum

August 23, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

I would like to start this letter out by saying I have no idea who Scott Edmondson is, where he resides, nor what he does for a livelihood, but he isn't at the top of my popularity list.

I say this because the third paragraph of his letter to the editor that appeared Aug. 8 says he would like to see the banal and pathetic thing I live in because I didn't care for old ugly.

If he doesn't care for some of our county commissioners' job performance, "man up" and say so. Otherwise, please stop beating the old ugly drum. As you stated, the courthouse was left to go to pot long before they got elected.

I personally invite you to give me a phone call (I'm listed in the directory) and stop and see my home. Let me warn you that, as a west ender, I suggest you lock your car if you stop, and please bring a picture ID because I try to avoid leaving just anyone into my humble abode.

On another subject, my congratulations to the elected officials of the village of Republic for turning down a $39,000 grant and doing the job for $500-$700. Some people think grants are free money. I think we send $100 to Washington and Washington thinks we should be happy when we get $5 back.

Sincerely

Joe Robenalt, Tiffin
