I'm writing a letter in support of re-electing President Barack Obama. Obama helped save the auto industry by extending emergency loans, thereby saving more than 1 million jobs, including a few jobs in Seneca County and surrounding counties. Today, the Big Three automotive companies are all doing well. They've added 230,000 jobs since June 2009, and GM is the top-selling automaker in the world again.
The unemployment numbers show this, too. The June unemployment rate for Seneca County was 7.8 percent, which is 0.4-percent lower than the national average. I find these numbers very encouraging. I think we're headed in the right direction, and I want to give Obama another chance to lead us to further economic growth and development. Please re-elect Obama.
