Fostoria fires
Firefighters were called to a smoke investigation in the 600 block of North Countyline Street early Sunday morning. Nothing was found.
Firefighters were called to an accident at 1694 N. Countyline St. Sunday afternoon. They found two vehicles with mild damage and assisted the EMS.
Firefighters were called to an open burn at 170 Elm St. Sunday night. They found a small fire in the back yard, advised the resident of open burning laws and extinguished the fire.
Firefighters were called to a fire alarm at 595 Stearns Road Monday morning. They found a problem with an elevator, shut it down and helped residents return to their rooms.
Firefighters were called to an odor investigation at 448 College Ave. Monday afternoon. They found a hot water heater unit had burned up and advised people to contact the landlord. The breaker wouldn't reset.
