Cody W. Love-Whitmer, 21, of Alvada, was charged with selling cigarettes to a minor for an incident Aug. 21.
A caller from Dollar General, 1515 N. Countyline St., reported Thursday evening a man was trying to use a bad check. Two men were arrested on warrants, according to the report.
An assault was reported Friday afternoon in the 400 block of South Town Street. The caller didn't wish to file charges.
A person reported Friday afternoon someone removed copper from a property in the 600 block of North Poplar Street.

County accident
A one-vehicle accident was reported Thursday night in the 1000 block of North TR 109. A caller had reported a vehicle was in a ditch. According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, a person was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by a family member.

Firefighters were called to 160 Miami St. Friday morning for a smoke detector activation due to a malfunction.
