'Working' to open in Fremont
FREMONT - Fremont Community Theatre is to stage "Working" at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sept. 21 and 22 and 2 p.m. Sunday and Sept. 23.
Based on a nonfiction book by Studs Terkel, the musical is a series of vignettes that celebrate the American worker. This production contains adult language and situations.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

Rail Festival??Right on track
FOSTORIA - Railroad buffs are invited to the Fostoria Rail Festival 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 22 at Fostoria Middle School.
The festival is to feature model train displays, rail fan merchandise and tours of the Iron Triangle.
Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.

Blues festival set to return
BASCOM - The 17th annual Soul Shine Blues Festival is scheduled for Sept. 22 at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, 5430 W. Tiffin St., Bascom.
The event is a combination of blues music, barbecue and dancing to benefit the First Step Healthy Family Resource Center in Fostoria.
There will be plenty of chicken and ribs, pulled pork sandwiches and seafood jambalaya to eat, as well as a top hat raffle with an array of prizes.
Doors open at 1 p.m., with music to begin at 2.
The band lineup includes:
2-3 p.m., Soul Shine Blues Band.
3:15-4:30 p.m., Rude Mood.
4:45-6:15 p.m., Reece Lincoln Band.
6:30-8:30 p.m. Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys.
Tickets are $20. They can be obtained in advance at First Step or at the door.
Soul Shine gives First Step the opportunity to reach out and meet with community members, make them aware of the center's work and give them an opportunity to get involved.
