Irene E. Frost, 91, of Bloomville, passed away at 12:08 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Ruffing Family Care Center, Bloomville.
She was born April 11, 1921, in St. Stephens, Bloom Township, Seneca County, to John and Rose (Dannemiller) Ball. She married Louis C. Frost June 5, 1945, and he preceded her in death April 2, 1989.
She is survived by a son, Harold (Lorie) Frost of Sycamore; two daughters, Catherine Stinchcomb and Louise Frost, both of Bloomville; four grandchildren, Rhonda (Benjamin) Foos, Annette (Nathan) Balduf, and Gregory and Nevada Frost; four great-grandchildren, Dalton, Brittany, Taylor and Taryn; and two sisters, Rita Bentz of Tiffin and Gertrude (Gene) Durnwald of New Washington.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Herbert Ball; and two sisters, Victoria Schoen and Alma Weisenauer.
Irene was a 1939 graduate of Bloomville High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Attica, and Caulfield American Legion Post No. 434 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and worked for many years at Oakview Locker, Lykens.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at St. Stephen Chapel (Our Lady of Hope Parish), CR 6, Attica, with the Rev. Paul A. Fahrbach and the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery, Attica. The rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville, OH 44818, (419) 983-2111. The rosary will be prayed Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
