Richard and Mary Ann Gabel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at St Mary's Catholic Church Sept. 9, 2012.
They were married Sept. 8, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Deshler.
Richard is the son of the late Melvin and Grace Gabel. He retired from Ameriwood.

Mary Ann, the daughter of the late Robert and Marcella Jackson, retired from Mercy Home Care.
They have five children, Rick Gabel of Austin, Texas, Randy (Beth) Gabel and Theresa (Jerry) Walden, both of Westerville, Rob (Amy) Gabel of Delaware and Rodney (Heather) Gabel of Bowling Green. They also have nine grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
To celebrate, the Gabels took a cruise to Alaska recently. Saturday night, they enjoyed a family celebration at LaScala in Findlay.
