Mohawk Historical Society is to host "America's First Ladies," a lecture by Gerald Bazer at 7 p.m. Thursday in Sycamore United Methodist Church, 211 N. Sycamore Ave., Sycamore.
The event is free.
An educator, writer, historian and speaker, Bazer is an expert who has lectured at the William McKinley Presidential Center, the James Garfield Presidential Center, The University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Defiance College, Lourdes College, Bluffton College, Northwest Community College and Owens State Community College. Bazer also has made several TV appearances discussing American presidents, Abraham Lincoln, presidential humor, Ohio-born presidents and American first ladies.

A former adjunct professor at Boston College and the University of Toledo, Bazer is a member of the Ohio Humanities Speakers' Council and is dean emeritus of arts and sciences at Owens Community College.
