Baked goods offered at art show Saturday
FOSTORIA - Noon-4 p.m. Saturday, the Fostoria Community Arts Council is to host a bake sale to benefit its Summer Concert Series.
The bake sale is to take place during the multimedia art show, "Clay-Brush-Lens," at the FCAC office, 125 S. Main St., Fostoria.
'Wild Things' leads Ritz book-film series
The Ritz Theatre is ready to launch its 2012 Read It - See It film series with "Where the Wild Things Are," at 2 p.m. Sunday. The movie is based on the children's book.

Cast announced
for 'Anne Frank'
The Ritz Players have chosen a cast for "The Diary of Anne Frank" by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. This drama is to open the players' season with performances Oct. 12, 13, 20 and 21.
The play is based on the book, "Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl," published in 1947 and translated into more than 50 languages. It narrates the experiences of a group of Jewish citizens who go into hiding in an effort to escape the Holocaust.
Kayla Hunter (Fostoria) is to portray Anne; Kayla McGinnis is cast as Margot and Trent Dundore as Peter. Lukas Frey (Upper Sandusky) and LeRae Seay are to play Mr. and Mrs. Frank; Bob Derby (Bellevue) and Nancy Betz are to play Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan. Gabrielle Mitchell takes the role of Miep. Michael France (Bucyrus) and Bob Ammanniti (Bellevue) are cast as Mr. Dussel and Mr. Kraler, respectively.
Lois Eisenhard is the director. Her crew includes Dinah Adams, stage manager; Jim Cook, set designer; Dalva Church, props; Nancy Derby, costumes; and Seth Innis, sound designer.

Child actors needed
for 'Auntie Mame'
The Ritz Teen Thespian Guild is to have open auditions for the comedy, "Auntie Mame," at The Ritz Theatre 4:30-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. More than 40 roles are available to area students in grades 9-12. Also needed are one boy ages 6-8 and one boy ages 10-12.
The performances are to be staged Nov. 9-11 at The Ritz.
Auditions are to consist of reading from the script. Students wishing to work backstage are asked to attend auditions and sign up for construction, painting, props, lights or sound.

Country fair returns to downtown Clyde
CLYDE - Clyde Country Fair is to return to downtown Clyde 5 p.m.-midnight Friday, noon-midnight Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday.
Sponsored by the city of Clyde, the fair features amusement rides, games, concessions and entertainment.
The queen, little miss and little master pageants are the main attractions Friday. Saturday includes the baby contest, a 5K run, parade and bingo. Bingo continues Sunday, along with a go-kart race on city streets, children's tractor pull and car show.
