CLYDE - Bryce Creamer carded a 78 Saturday to guide Columbian to fourth at the Northern Ohio League Tournament at Green Hills.
Bellevue took the tournament title via a tiebreaker over Willard after both shot a 316. However, Willard edged Bellevue 22-21 in overall points for the league's overall championship.
Teams earned two points for each regular-season NOL win and one point for each team they beat in the tournament.
T.J. Wickham backed Creamer with an 85 for the Tornadoes, who shot a 346 to end fourth. Columbian wound up fifth in the overall standings.
Jack Burkes added an 87 for TC and Mason McCool had a 96. Clayton Neal (102) and Katie Bogner (109) competed as non-scorers.
Warriors gain a split
SYCAMORE - Two days after knocking off unbeaten New Riegel, Mohawk faced another pair of tests Saturday in a tri-match against Monroeville and Wynford. The Warriors split the day, topping Monroeville 25-12, 21-25, 25-17 and falling to Wynford 26-24, 25-22.
Sarah Parker led Mohawk on the day with 19 kills, 10 digs and seven blocks. Julie Adelsperger added 17 kills, eight digs, four blocks and three aces. Kasey Adelsperger finished with 15 kills and five blocks.
Also for Mohawk (10-2), Aubrie Flood had eight kills and eight digs, Clara Adelsperger had 13 digs and four blocks, Ashley Parker dished out 53 assists, Lynsey Trusty had 20 digs and Taylor McClain finished with 15 digs.
Tygers get around Rams
MANSFIELD - Chance Smith booted home the go-ahead score with a little less than 32 minutes to play and Mansfield held on from there Saturday for a 3-2 win over Upper Sandusky.
The teams entered halftime knotted at 1 after goals by Upper Sandusky's Brandon Miller and Mansfield's Coltan Henderson.
Henderson added another score early in the second half, but the Rams (7-4) got the equalizer off Shin Nagahama's free kick with 34:15 to play.
Luke Miller added an assist for Upper Sandusky, and Henderson did the same for the Tygers (6-4-1).
William Amert stopped four of Mansfield's 11 shots. Mansfield got two saves from Trey Grose and another from B.J. Chapman.
