ARLINGTON - New Riegel, Carey and Elmwood all got a sneak peek at Thursday's sectional tournament site in a tri-match Monday. Playing at Sycamore Springs, New Riegel edged out Carey for first place 179-180, with Elmwood not far behind with 185.
New Riegel improves to 17-0 in match play this year.
Korey Williams led New Riegel with a 43, followed closely by Andrew Hohman who carded a 44. Brady Hall and Brandyn Reinhart each shot 46s.
Carey (6-5) was led by Corbin Blair, who had the low round of the day firing a 42 in the windy conditions. Lincoln Stansberry backed him up with a 43, Grant Wentling posted a 45 and Russell Phillips shot a 50.
Allen Dyar's 46 led Elmwood.

SYCAMORE - Calvert made sure it heads into sectionals hot, beating Old Fort 174-196 in its final dual match of the year. Jeremy Hanna and Johnny Hays led the Senecas. Hanna fired a 37 with Hayes posting a 39.
Also for Calvert, Matt Huffmon shot a 46 and Henry Burns shot a 52.
Balanced Bucks top Royals
NEW WASHINGTON - Buckeye Central and Wynford were tied after each school's top two golfers. Eric Heydinger's 40 and Adam McGinnis' 42 for Buckeye Central matched the twin 41s shot by Wynford's Mike Powers and Nate Smith.
However, Buckeye Central's Nos. 3 and 4 proved to be the difference. Matt Sheibley and Zach Parker each shot a 44 to power the Bucks to a 170-178 win over the Royals.
Buckeye Central moves to 5-6, 4-6 in the North Central Conference.
H-L?takes down Tigers
CRESTLINE - Hopewell-Loudon and Seneca East traveled to Valley View, site of Thursday's sectional tournament for a dual match. Seneca East's Nate Phillips shot the low round of the day with a 41, but the Chieftains took the match 188-213.
Hopewell-Loudon (15-3) was paced by Jarid Gelinas' 42. Also for H-L, Aric Creeger posted a 45, Christian Madsen shot a 50 and Bryce Gorrell carded a 51.
Backing up Phillips on the Seneca East side was Garrett Clark with a 56, Austin Holmer with a 57 and Bradenn Nagel with a 59.
