September 26, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

OLD FORT - Christian Kiesel scored twice and Morton Mogelmose had two assists to help Columbian hold off Old Fort 5-3 Tuesday.

Kiesel scored in each half, with his first goal giving the Tornadoes (3-7) a 2-1 lead and his second pushing the advantage to 4-1.

But the Stockaders roared back off the leg of Cole Davidson.

The senior, who snapped a scoreless tie in the 11th minute, booted in two goals in a six-minute span after Kiesel's second score to bring Old Fort to within 4-3.

But Alec Demith padded Columbian's lead by converting a Mogelmose pass in the 64th minute and the Tornadoes turned away Old Fort from there.

Garrett Bean had TC's first goal in the 18th minute off a Mogelmose pass to tie the game at 1.

Josh Gibson stopped 12 shots for TC, and Matt Wilson had seven for the Stockaders.

Hardy-led Stritch drops Mohawk

OREGON - Kaylee Hardy scored three times Tuesday to key Cardinal Stritch's 3-1 girls soccer win over Mohawk.

Voe Waldbuesser added seven saves for the Cardinals (4-4).

Kim Danner had the lone goal for the Warriors (4-5), converting a pass from Cambria Kohlenberg. Liz Runion stopped 11 shots for Mohawk, which was out-shot 14-8.
