During October, the Tiffin Art Guild Gallery is to feature a photography exhibition by Morgan Frankart Dunn. The display is to open with an artist's reception at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 in the gallery, 178 S. Washington St., Tiffin. Refreshments are to be available.
Born and raised in New Riegel, Dunn spent 13 months in Rumbek, South Sudan, from 2005 to 2006. Serving with SIM, a Christian mission organization, she worked as a community health trainer and overseer of public health clinics in a country just beginning to recover from more than 20 years of brutal civil war. During her free time, Dunn was able to indulge her hobby of photography, hoping to capture the beauty, spirit and resiliency of the Dinka Agar people.
Now residing in Columbus, Dunn is a registered nurse clinician in nutrition support at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She continues to enjoy photography and travel, hoping one day to return to Africa.
