SANDUSKY - Columbian dropped just six games its entire match against Sandusky on Thursday, sweeping the Blue Streaks 5-0 to remain unbeaten in Northern Ohio League play.
Both Alex Kramer at No. 1 singles and Kelly Bishop at No. 2 swept matches 6-0, 6-0 against Hannah Lang and Melanie Murray respectively.
In the day's other singles match, Sarah Guzowski beat Heidi Shipley 6-2, 6-0.
At No. 1 doubles, Allie Elchert and Audrey Vrancken beat Brenna Garrett and Alexa Riesterer, 6-1, 6-0. At No. 2 doubles, Kelsey Drown and Colleen Smith beat Morgan Spencer and Cassidy Johnson 6-2, 6-1.
Columbian improves to 16-1, 8-0 NOL.
Calvert sweeps Fostoria
CeCi Burtis' 6-0, 6-0 win over Jillian Smith highlighted Calvert's 5-0 win over Fostoria. In other singles matches, Madison Daniel beat Cori Garrett, 6-2, 6-1, and Margaret Bowers beat Kendall McCoy, 6-4, 6-1.
In doubles action, Stasia Huth-Fretz and Sam Gase beat Pernille Knudsen and Angelica Esquivel, 6-1, 6-0. Anika Maiberger and Regina Hoepf beat Autumn Affholder and Lauren Risner, 6-1, 6-0.
Rams slay Black Knights
VAN BUREN - After a scoreless first half, Upper Sandusky found the back of the net three times in the second, leading to a 3-1 victory over Van Buren. Taylor Emerick netted a pair of goals for the Rams while Shin Nagahama also scored. Austin Pirc and Luke Miller tallied assists.
William Amert made 10 saves for the Rams, who improve to 9-4.
