BETTSVILLE - Seneca East runners owned the first four spots and had two teammates turn in top-10 times Saturday in a 16-77 runaway win over Galion at the Bettsville Booster Invitational.
Jason Willman, in just his second meet this year after suffering a track injury, cruised to the individual win in 16:13.98.
Tigers Carson Pipher (16:20.63), Jared Stockmaster (16:20.93) and Wes Pipher (16:30.08) rounded out the top four. Karl Burgderfer added a sixth (16:48.93).
Michael Szabo (8th, 17:10) and Bryce Watson (16th, 17:42.93) also ran for the Tigers.
Carey ended third with 81 points, and Upper Sandusky took fifth over St. Wendelin by a 115-155 margin.
Zach Logsdon (17:26.66) and Brayden Leist (17:29.11) ran 11th and 12th for Carey.
Upper Sandusky got a seventh from Garrett Miller (16:55.51) and a 14th from Dominic Solis (17:32.05).
St. Wendelin's Jorden Nye crossed the line 10th (17:26.14) and Zach Dixon ended 49th (20:21.42).
Reinhart, Mohawks go 1-2
BETTSVILLE - Jocelyn Reinhart got the win and led St. Wendelin to second in the standings Saturday at the Bettsville Booster Invitational.
Reinhart crossed the line in 20:23.21 for the Mohawks, who fell 68-82 to Elmwood in the team race.
Victoria Volpe backed her by claiming fourth (20:54.29), Sara Goddard ran 11th (21:36.23), Karin Goddard came in 16th (21:44.16) and Sammie Digby finished 57th (25:20.66).
Carey came in third with 85 points and New Riegel turned back Upper Sandusky 156-176 for sixth. Seneca East was eighth (179).
Jaclyn Troiano's fifth (20:59.74) keyed Carey and Alivia Stephan ran 14th (21:42.12).
New Riegel's Abby Cassidy claimed ninth (21:22.63) and Ashley Mathias finished 18th (21:48.87).
Upper Sandusky's Katlin Rowe (22:57.66) and Zoe Garber (23:00.61) ended 32nd and 33rd.
Anna Willman's runner-up finish (20:31.12) led Seneca East. Alyssa England added a 36th (23:08.4).
Bettsville did not field a full team. Alexis Davis ended 76th (30:52.83).
Pair of thirds for Chieftains
VERMILION - Hopewell-Loudon had two boys and three girls run top-20 times Saturday as both squads claimed third at the Vermilion Invitational.
Each team scored 97 points.
Chet Swartzmiller's sixth (16:29.97) paced the Chieftains in the boys meet, and Robert Kniss added a 13th (16:48.38).
The girls got a 12th from Erin Reinhart-Anez (20:18.7), 14th from Shelby Raudebaugh (20:39.98) and 18th from Leah Reinhart (20:51.15).
In the open races, Bernie Somers clocked in ninth (17:58.78) for H-L's boys and Allison Arnold took 28th (23:43.09) for the girls.
Schultz, Smith key Calvert's fourths
NEW WASHINGTON - Austin Schultz captured seventh and Morgan Smith ran 12th in her race Saturday as both Calvert teams claimed fourth at the Buckeye Central Invitational.
Schultz's seventh (18:05.8) led the boys to 142 points. Ren Boehler added a 17th (18:37.87) for the Senecas.
Buckeye Central wound up 14th (334). Wyatt Kisor ended 66th (20:28.25) for the Bucks and Sam Robertson came in 69th (20:35.34).
In the girls race, Smith took 12th (22:24.76) and Sydney Berlekamp claimed 15th (22:40.67) for the Senecas, who scored 115 points.
Buckeye Central did not field a full girls team. Lizabeth Figueroa ran 34th (23:57.91) for the Buckettes and Amy Rietschlin finished 68th (25:33.25).
OF boys fourth, girls fifth
COLLINS - Marcus Meyers and Brad Bannister ran seventh and eighth Saturday to fuel Old Fort's run to fourth at the Wester Reserve John Speer Rider Invitational.
Meyers crossed the line in 17:17 and Bannister ended 11 seconds later to help the Stockaders score 108 points.
Mohawk finished sixth (182) behind Mitch Brown's 19th (18:07) and Alex Hoerig's 27th (18:23).
Old Fort's girls scored 138 points to end fifth in their race.
Alexis Rhodes ended 11th (21:29) for the Stockaders and Kayla Garza took 15th (21:52).
Mohawk wound up seventh (182). Julia Daniel took fifth overall (20:27). Kayla Risner ended 24th (22:43) and Hailey Leeth came in 48th (25:16).
Matheny tops FHS efforts
OREGON - C.J. Matheny ran 21st for the boys and Fostoria's girls took 13th Saturday at the Oregon Clay Eagle Invitational.
Matheny crossed the line in 17:38.6 for the Redmen, who did not field a full boys team.
Rowyn Schneider added a 107th (19:46.6) for FHS.
Fostoria's girls scored 351 points for 13th in their 19-team field.
Keeley Taylor's 33rd (21:53.5) for FHS and Raven Rodgers took 68th (23:11.5).
