FOSTORIA - Jason Willman took the individual win and four teammates finished in the top 15 Saturday as Seneca East cruised past Bryan 28-113 for the Fostoria Booster Invitational Red Division crown.
The Black Division also had a local individual winner in Old Fort's Marcus Meyer, while Hopewell-Loudon claimed second.
Willman crossed the line in 16:43.29 for the Tigers in the Red Division.
Carson Pipher claimed third (16:54.74), and Wes Pipher (17:00.99) and Jared Stockmaster (17:08.12) finished fifth and sixth. Karl Burgderfer added a 14th (17:35.41).
Michael Szabo (20th, 17:48.88) and Bryce Watson (26th, 18:05.17) rounded out the varsity contingent for Seneca East.
Columbian ended fifth (143) in the 15-team field, Upper Sandusky came in 11th (289) and Fostoria took 13th (314).
Brandon Gibson captured fourth (16:56.29) and Chris Gates clocked in seventh (17:20.69) for Columbian.
Upper Sandusky's Garrett Miller ran 16th (17:37.45) and Dominic Solis finished 32nd (18:13.38).
Fostoria got a 27th from C.J. Matheny (18:06.21) and a 38th from Salvador Cantero (18:28.93).
New Riegel did not field a full team. Caleb Welly ran 100th (20:08.08) and Brad Zoeller came in 149th (21:55.72).
In the Black Division, Meyers captured the individual title by finishing in 17:01.19 to lead the Stockaders to third with 141 points. Brad Bannister added a ninth (17:46.56) for Old Fort.
Pettisville beat H-L 75-96 for the team championship.
Robert Kniss (17:52.46) and Chet Swartzmiller (17:53.15) clocked in 14th and 15th to lead the runner-up Chieftains.
Marcus Ardner backed them with an 18th (18:00.37), Ryan Depinet ran 25th (18:19.53) and Dylan Napier came in 29th (18:28.66).
Carey took fourth (153) out of 16 teams, Mohawk ended ninth (199) and St. Wendelin finished 14th (381).
Brayden Leist's 19th (18:04.3) paced Carey and Ben Kromer finished 28th (18:27.78).
Mohawk's Mitch Brown ended 23rd (18:15.59) and Alex Hoerig came in 27th (18:26.34).
Jorden Nye captured 13th (17:49.6) for St. Wendelin, and Zach Dixon ended 105th (22:14.07).
H-L girls, Mohawk's Daniel race to second
FOSTORIA - Julia Daniel led the area individuals and Hopewell-Loudon did the same in the team standings Saturday as both captured second in the Fostoria Booster Invitational Black Division.
Daniel finished in 20:33.62 to help her team end 11th out of 16 squads with 254 points.
The runner-up Chieftains scored 103 points behind Kailey Coleman's eighth (21:34.82) and Shelby Raudebaugh's 14th (21:50.96).
Erin Reinhart-Anez added a 17th (21:57.64) for H-L, Leah Reinhart ran 32nd (22:47.13) and Haley Schreiner came in 48th (23:22.62).
St. Wendelin edged Carey 149-151 for fourth, thanks to Jocelyn Reinhart's seventh (21:22.04) and Victoria Volpe's 11th (21:41.45).
Carey got a 19th from Jaclyn Troiano (22:01.67) and a 22nd from Alivia Stephan (22:15.02).
Kayla Risner backed up Daniel by taking 47th (23:20.98) for Mohawk.
Seneca East came in 12th (287). Anna Willman captured fourth (21:13.61) for the Tigers and Alyssa England ended 60th (24:18.54).
Old Fort and Bettsville did not field full teams.
Alexis Rhodes claimed 13th (21:46.05) for New Riegel and Kayla Garza ran 15th (21:52.33). Alexis Davis ended 136th (32:51.07) for Bettsville and Kaitlyn Dymond came in 143rd (37:42.89).
Columbian finished fifth in the Red Division with 186 points behind Hanna Musil's 24th (21:35.24). Abrie Smith added a 32nd (21:58.02) for the Tornadoes.
Fostoria held off New Riegel 342-357 for 12th in the 17-team field, and Upper Sandusky took 16th (446).
Taylor Keeley ran 44th (22:10.01) for FHS and Raven Rodgers came in 73rd (23:01.45).
New Riegel got a 47th from Abby Cassidy (22:12.78) and a 50th from Ashley Mathias (22:19.49).
Upper Sandusky's Katlin Rowe took 92nd (23:41.62) and Kirsten Gardner came in 102nd (24:20.94).
