James A. "Jamie" Durnwald, 75, of Clyde, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1937, in Vickery, to Alfred and Cecelia (Kromer) Durnwald. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Ruth A. (Young) Durnwald Aug. 6, 1988, and she survives in Clyde.
Also surviving are two children, Mark Durnwald of Clyde and Melissa (John) Consolo of Bellevue; two stepchildren, Douglas (Leslie) Frater of Texas and Stacey (Kelly) Koselke of Clyde; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and a sister, Rita Myers of Beloit.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard, Robert and William Durnwald.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, with an Eagles services at 6 p.m.
His funeral is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clyde. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde, with military graveside services provided by Clyde VFW and American Legion.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Boy Scout Troop No. 320 or to Clyde FFA.
