First, let me thank you for allowing me to express my opinion in your fine newspaper.
I would never vote for President Barack Obama because of his stance on abortion. He is the most pro-abortion president the United States has ever had in office. Two examples: Feb. 2, 2010, Obama submitted a new budget calling for taxpayer funding of abortions and more money for Planned Parenthood. Did you know that in Washington, D.C., abortion is legal for any reason right up until birth? Now, that is really sad beyond words.
Abortion is nothing short of murder; once the egg is fertilized, life begins. The doctors who perform abortions any time during the growth of this unborn baby are committing murder. A couple of months ago, there was a story on the television stations about cruelty to a dog and all the uproar over it that it caused made me think some people care more for animals than they do for unborn human beings. How sad!
As far as Planned Parenthood goes, it is the largest provider of abortions in the U.S. and Obama wants us to help fund Planned Parenthood. Last year, it was given $468 million of our taxpayer money. I don't know about you, but I don't want my tax dollars to help pay for murdering unborn babies.
No ifs, ands or buts about it, abortion is murder, no matter what the Supreme Court says about it.
