Larry K. Blanton, 57, of Sycamore, died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 27, 1955, in Oil Springs, Ky., son of Kernie and Ruth Jean (May) Blanton. His mother resides in Carey. His father preceded him in death.
Larry married Bonnie L. Alspach Jan. 11, 1974, at Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene, Carey, and she survives in Sycamore.
Also surviving are three children, Sherry L. (Jason) Balduf of Upper Sandusky, Matthew K. (Cassandra Pieracini) Blanton of Fostoria and Mariah K. (Troy) Stansbery of Little Sandusky; four grandchildren, Jasmine, Elijah, Gracie and Gabriella; two sisters, Kathy (Glenn) Adams and Stephanie (Harold) Penwell, both of Carey; and his adopted family, Kathy and Rob Null of Belle Center.
Larry enjoyed hunting, watching movies, working on cars, listening to country music, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
The family would like to thank Walmart of Upper Sandusky for their love and support throughout the past year.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey.
A private graveside service will be at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
