Prep Soccer Roundup: Second-half goal lifts Riverdale past?Old Fort

OLD FORT - A second half goal from Riverdale's Justin Riegle proved to be the difference as the Falcons flew past Old Fort 2-1.

The Stockaders' lone goal came on a penalty kick from Marc Salas. Jimmy Fox had Riverdale's other goal.

In net, Old Fort's Matt Hill made four saves.

Miller, Nagahama fuel Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY - Brandon Miller scored twice and Shin Nagahama had a goal and two assists Thursday in Upper Sandusky's 4-1 win over Ada.

Both teams scored once in the first half, with Ada striking first off the foot of Justin Mathewson and Luke Miller finding the net for the Rams (12-4).

Nagahama's goal with 33:28 to play put Upper Sandusky up for good, and Miller's two goals came in the game's final 22:39.

Clay Musgrave added five saves for the Rams, who out-shot the Bulldogs 18-7. Tate Anspach had nine saves for Ada (2-11-2).

Warriors clip Stritch

SYCAMORE - Kim Danner got the game's lone goal off a free kick Thursday as Mohawk nipped Cardinal Stritch 1-0 in girls soccer.

Danner's goal came in the 42nd minute for the Warriors (6-8).

Liz Runion added seven saves in goal.

The Cardinals got five saves from Zoe Waldbuesser.

VB shuts out Senecas

Van Buren blasted Calvert 7-0 Thursday, dropping the Senecas to 0-10.

Jacob Zimmerman and Anthony Traxler combined for 36 saves for Calvert.
