Iris Elaine Vandevander, 62, of Bloomville, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
Iris was born April 10, 1950, to the late Walter and Carol L. (Altman) Sealey. She married Curtis L. Vandevander Oct. 25, 1974, in Tiffin, and he survives in Bloomville.
Other survivors include her three children, Harold L. Vandevander of Brownsburg, Ind., Timothy W. (Kyla) Vandevander of Ellettsville, Ind., and Theresa L. (Jeff) Slone of Tiffin; two stepchildren, Rachel L. (Jeff) Griggs of Sandusky and Curtis A. Vandevander of Cleveland; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon B. (Marlene) Sealey of Republic; and a sister, MyraJo G. (James) Armstrong of Green Springs.
Iris worked at Walmart from 2000-2011 and was a 1968 graduate of Republic High School.
Iris was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rita L. and Loretta F. Sealey.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin. A short prayer service will immediately follow with the Rev. David Raulston officiating.
There will be no burial at this time.
