The board of directors of Sycamore Village and Sycamore Township 1 Fund Drive have kicked off their 2012 campaign. The fundraiser has been a Sycamore tradition since 1958. Solicitation of the business district is under way, with the township drive begining Saturday followed by the village drive Nov. 3.
"We are always amazed by the generosity of our Sycamore community," said Kim Mohr, president of this year's drive. "We are very excited about our 2012 campaign. We have had several new folks step in and join our returning volunteers with the village drive. Bob Hosterman does a fantastic job with the business district and Wayne and Jean Walton do a terrific job guiding our township drive."
