Cicely ‘Mitch’ Geraldine Tucker

Cicely "Mitch" Geraldine Tucker, 89, of Westminster, Md., and formerly Tiffin, died at 1:03 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at The Dove House, Westminster.

Mitch was born in Manchester, England, to Gerald and Lillian (Russell) Nichols. She married William Henry Thompson July 4, 1945, in Hyattsville, Md., and he preceded her in death.

Mitch is survived by three children, Claudia (Fred) Feasel of Tiffin, Neil Thompson of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Marsha Minnick of Westminster, Md.; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mitch was a retired assistant administrator at Bel-Pre Nursing Home, Maryland. She was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Tiffin, and past member of St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Damascus, Md., where she was active with the Women of St. Ann's (WOSA).

Mitch also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Treva Abbott; and three brothers, Ralph, Jeffrey and David Nichols.

There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Amy Fallon officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery, Fairland, Md.

Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care.
