Stacy for commissioner

October 16, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." This thought expressed by John Quincy Adams can well be applied to Holly Stacy, Republican Party candidate for Seneca County commissioner.

Holly has demonstrated these qualities of leadership in her experience in the field of education, having served two terms on the Old Fort Board of Education, including the office of president.

In the world of business, Holly has been an inspiration to me personally while serving as president/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of Sandusky County for the past 10 years. In this capacity, she has served on numerous boards, including the Sandusky County Economic Development Corp. and T.R.I.P. S. (a regional transportation entity). Her leadership and educational skills for this position were honed by receiving her master's degree in business administration from Tiffin University. Holly is an excellent communicator and is well versed in administrative duties such as budgeting, committee oversight and financial planning while effectively working with a wide variety of individuals, organizations and businesses.

In addition, Holly is a graduate of Leadership Sandusky County and serves as a member of its board as well as the board of Youth Leadership Sandusky County, where she has had a unique opportunity to encourage young people to "dream more, do more and become more." Holly is also an alumna of the distinguished Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute.

Holly has an excellent understanding of the needs of the vital agricultural segment of our county as a partner in a farm family. She also has inspired and motivated young people of Seneca County who are interested in agriculture in her endeavors as a 4-H adviser and while serving on the Seneca County Junior Fair swine committee. In addition, Holly received her bachelor's degree in agricultural communication from the Ohio State University.

Strong traditional family values. Full-time job commitment. Integrity. Vitality. Proven visionary leadership. I truly believe that John Quincy Adams' words noted above can most assuredly be applied to Holly Stacy, and that she will well serve all the citizens of Seneca County as the "the best choice" for Seneca County commissioner.
