ONTARIO - Bill Bonham has had the privilege of coaching a number of good teams during his time at Buckeye Central. Tuesday night's sectional semifinal win over Mansfield St. Peter's was more than just the start to what looks like another lengthy postseason run. It was the 100th career win for Bonham as the Buckettes beat St. Peter's, 25-4, 25-5, 25-4.

Fourteen girls suited up for Buckeye Central and all 14 saw action in the sectional semifinal. Bonham said that made the milestone even more special.

"We got everyone involved, so it was nice that everyone could get a piece of that moment," he said.

Jenna Delarber led a balanced BC attack with nine kills and four blocks. Maddie Williams and Sammi Marcum chipped in all-around good nights. Williams had eight kills, five digs and six aces. Marcum chipped in six kills, eight digs and five aces.

Also for the Buckettes (21-2), Emily Weithman dished out 14 assists to go with seven digs and three kills. Kilee Kimmel added 13 assists, five digs and three kills. Brooke Karl had 10 digs and four aces. Kendra Schultz slammed seven kills.

"Basically overall, it was a well-rounded team effort," Bonham said. "Our goal was to not miss any serves and limit our mistakes in general."

BC served 74 times, came up with 21 aces and had only one missed serve. The Buckettes also only had four hitting errors in 59 attacks.

Next up for the Buckettes is Crestline in a sectional final 6 p.m. Saturday at Ontario.
