Calvert kept its sectional final with Riverdale close in the first half, but the Falcons generated enough offense to advance.
Behind three goals from Nick Parsel, the Falcons (5-10-2) advanced to the district semifinals with a 5-0 win over the Senecas.
The game was played almost entirely with the Senecas on defense, but Riverdale led just 2-0 at the half.
"I'm more interested in our patterns of play," Riverdale coach Jon Hayfield said. "And the patterns of play were very good. We were passing the ball left and right, forward and back ... a goal was gonna come eventually, and it finally did."
Parsel's first goal came at 17:31 into the game, with his second coming less than three minutes later.
Anthony Traxler did a solid job in goal for the Senecas, making 33 saves. It only was his second game as goalkeeper.
"The keeper was very good tonight," Hayfield said. "He made four very good saves to keep their team in distance."
"He really performed out there, better than we thought," Calvert coach Mike Fabrizio said of Traxler. "He kept it close and gave us a chance in the second half."
Caleb Shultis and Felix Lindberg also scored for the Falcons, who advance to play Van Buren in the sectional finals.
Calvert finished the season 0-11.
"Our effort was sustained throughout the game, and we improved a lot throughout the year," Fabrizio said. "And it just goes to show our kids have a good work ethic."
