Mae E. Kidwell, 87, of Findlay, was greeted at the gates of heaven by her husband, son and daughter after she passed away at 9:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.
She was born April 29, 1925, in Carey, to Carey and Minnie (Remlinger) Garn. She married Darrel J. Kidwell July 13, 1940, and he preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2000.
She is survived by her two sons, James (Emogene) Kidwell of Huntsville, Ala., and Richard Kidwell of Findlay; two daughters, Joyce (Richard) Gerber of Tiffin and Mary Jane (Lynn) Wolford of Columbus; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, John Kidwell; a daughter, Gloria Frische; two brothers, Jerry and Joe Garn; and a sister, Betty Sloman.
Mrs. Kidwell retired as a clerk from Hobby Center, Findlay, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay.
Her funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Colden-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, with Father Shaji Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Her visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.
