Todd A. Bruner

Todd A. Bruner, 51, resident of Attica and formerly Shelby, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Mercy Hospital Willard, due to natural causes.

He was born June 21, 1961, in Shelby, to Dale and Frances (Perito) Bruner. He had been a Shelby resident the majority of his life. A 1980 graduate of Shelby Senior High School, he attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School for carpentry. Todd was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed with MTD, Willard, for 25 years. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work and was a great handyman.

He was a member of Seneca East Athletic Boosters Club. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed four-wheeling, biking, hiking and running. He cherished the time he spent with his family and was fond of his cats, Sprocket and Kitt.

Surviving are three children, Ethan Bruner of Shelby, Amanda Bruner of Irving, Texas, and Casie Bruner (fiance, Shawn Bernowski) of Dublin; his life companion, Reggi Hansen of Attica and her sons, Scott (Shawna) Hansen of New London and Steve Hansen (Allison Ruffing) of Attica; his parents, Dale and Frances Bruner of Shelby; five siblings, Roberta (Deny) Rapp of Willard, Susan (Robert) France of Eustis, Fla., Russell (Maureen) Bruner and Della (Chuck) Burks, both of Plymouth, and Cliff Bruner (Cindy Strain) of Shelby; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Frampton, and brother, William Bruner.

His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Barkdull Funeral Home, Shelby. Father Paul A. Fahrbach of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Attica, will officiate with interment in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Attica.

Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today, Oct. 23, at the funeral home.
