Tiffin Police are searching for a man who allegedly entered a North Washington Street residence with a gun Tuesday afternoon and demanded prescription pills.

According to reports from the Tiffin Police Department, a man reported at 3:15 p.m. someone had entered his father's house in the 100 block of North Washing Street about an hour-and-a-half earlier and robbed him at gunpoint.

Detective Shawn Vallery of Tiffin Police Department said the suspect, described as white, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 160 and 165 pounds, had walked into the unlocked residence with a gun and demanded Percocet.

"He turned them over and the guy left," Vallery said.

The resident didn't recognize the man, Vallery said, and also described him as having a scruffy beard and a receding hairline.

Vallery said no arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
