A Nature Walk Bird Talk is planned at 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, SR 19 south of Bloomville.
The walk is to last about 1 1/2 hours and qualifies for the walking stick program.
Young Adventurers ages 6-12 are invited to learn about Ohio history and discover which animals once lived in Ohio during an 11 a.m. program Nov. 3 at Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve.
Toddlers ages 12-36 months with an adult companion can learn about "nutty squirrels" at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Garlo preserve.

Sandusky County
Puddle Jumpers ages 5 and younger can learn about deer at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Wolf Creek Campground, 2701 S. SR 53, Fremont.
Children can search the trails looking for signs of deer and learn interesting facts about this creature of the woods.
Jewelry making is the topic of a program 4:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the park office, 1970 Countryside Place, Fremont. The program is one of three; the others take place Nov. 17 and 27.
Participants can learn to make three styles of bracelets or necklaces, one style per session. Supplies are provided. Open to those 9 and older, the fee is $5 per session or $12 for all three.
Hike for the Health of It at 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at Wolf Creek Park Campground.

Crawford County
A "Skins & Skeletons In the Closet" program is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Lowe-Volk Park, Bucyrus.
Natural history examples are plentiful at the nature center. Participants can see and touch the collection and bring their own unidentified bone for possible identification.
A saw-whet owl bird banding program is planned at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at Lowe-Volk Park.
For the third year, bander Bob Scott Placier plans to provide nets, knowledge and research for participants to learn about saw-whet owls in Crawford County.
A bird walk is planned at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 at Daughmer State Nature Preserve. A combination of woodland and grassland makes Daughmer an unusual habitat for birds.
Participants can learn what birds can be found in this rare fragment of the natural world. Meet Warren Uxley at the parking lot on Marion-Melmore Road, north of SR 294.
"Gobbledygook" is the topic of a program at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at Lowe-Volk Park.
Children ages 5 and younger can learn about wild turkeys and make some "gook."
