Tiffin reports

A gas drive-off of $34.88 was reported at Kroger Fuel Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to an alarm activation in the first block of Clay Street Friday afternoon. There was an unknown cause for the activation.

A man in the 1600 block of West Market Street reported Friday night there was a car sitting with its headlights on for several hours, shining in his residence.

Timothy D. Osterberg, 47, of Fostoria, was charged with operating a vehicle while under the influence early Saturday morning.

Fostoria reports

Jimmie J. Mattox, 51, of Fostoria, was charged with possession of drugs Friday night.

A man in the 300 block of East Center Street reported Friday afternoon his neighbor threw clothes into the street. A subject was taken into custody for littering.

Larry Appleman, 35, of Fostoria, was charged for driving under the influence and resisting arrest early Saturday morning.

An employee at St. Catherine's Care Center reported Saturday morning she found marijuana in the laundry.

An officer was dispatched to the emergency room at Fostoria Community Hospital to assist with a patient who had been assaulted.

Network security personnel contacted the police department Saturday afternoon about an activated alarm at Certified Oil Company. The incident is under investigation.

A female caller in the 100 block of East Sixth Street reported Saturday afternoon she had been assaulted and threatened by an unknown male. Charges are pending.

County reports

A man in the 3000 block of West TR 26 reported Friday morning that his vehicle was entered overnight and several items were taken.

A caller in the 1700 block of South SR 53 reported Friday evening he heard voices and banging in his barn.

Callers from Twin Pines Motel reported Friday night they found cockroaches in their room and the manager refused to refund their money.

County fire

Green Springs firefighters responded early Friday morning to a fire in a wooded area near 11130 E. CR 32.

County accident

Kristopher J. Moore, 22, of Clyde, was cited with failure to control Thursday afternoon as the result of an accident on North CR 33.

Fostoria accident

Two 911 calls were received about a three-car accident in front of Burger King Friday afternoon.

A daughter, Adalynn Rose Orians, was born Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, to Allyson and Bruce Orians of Grove City. Adalynn weighed 5 ounds, 12 ounces, and measured 19 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Ben and Janet Hickey of Fremont. Paternal grandparents are Mark and Beck Orians of Tiffin. Maternal great-grandmother is Helen Henshaw of Wooster. Paternal great-grandparents are Jim and Barb Welly of Carey.

A son, Emmett Edward Gibson, was born Tueday, Oct. 23, 2012, to Ashley (Shepherd) and Jonathan Gibson of Tiffin. Emmett weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Margaret and Bill Shepherd of Tiffin. Paternal grandparents are Jeanette and Milton Gibson of Tiffin.

A daughter, Arin Marie Lyon, was born Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, to Courtney McAllister and Ryan Lyon of Tiffin. Arin weighed 9 pounds, 10 ounces, and measured 21 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Brad and Denise Arnold of Tiffin. Paternal grandparents are Terry and Melissa Lyon of Tiffin. Maternal great-grandparents are Nancy and Rick Carnicom of Fremont.
