Evelyn E. Eyer, 91, of Bucyrus, died at 2:01a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Altercare of Bucyrus.
She was born Jan., 9 1921, to Arthur and Edith (Raudebaugh) Hushour. She married Ora L. Eyer on June 5, 1943, and he died Aug. 8, 2001.
She is survived by her three children, Janie (Eric) Benson of rural Nevada, Ohio, Thomas (Debra) Eyer of Johnstown and Duane (Tani) Eyer of Ada; seven grandchildren, Greg Eyer, John Morrone, Scott Benson, Jennifer Kerr, Justin Eyer, Valerie Messmer, and Nicole Eyer; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Dunlap of rural Nevada, Ohio, Bernice (Doyle) Dillon, and Shirley (Don) Coppus, both of Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Richard "Dick" Eyer, who died Dec. 4, 2010; two brothers, Charles and Earl Hushour; and one sister, Dorothy Roby.
Mrs. Eyer was a former member of Melmore United Methodist Church and Sycamore United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and 1939 Graduate of Melmore High School. She was a member of the former Benton Fellowship Club and former member of the former O.E.S. Chapter No. 345 Sycamore. She liked to cook, sew and spend time in her flower garden.
Her funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, with Chaplain Dan Clouse officiating. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore.
Her visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the funeral home.
