John H. Hacker
John H. Hacker, 71, of Attica, died Saturday evening, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Country Continuing Care Center, Fremont.
He was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Oberlin to the late Martin and Ruth (Needing) Hacker.
Mr. Hacker is survived by his wife, June (Bordner) Hacker whom he married July 15, 1965,; two brothers, Carl (Lana) Hacker and Fred (Kathy) Hacker, both of Greenwich; three sisters, Mary Ann Abmoska of Palm Bay, Fla., Ruth Ann (Kevin) Marenberg of Sandusky and Jane Ann (Joshua) Weaver of Ft. Meyers, Fla.
Mr. Hacker was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and was owner and operator of John Hacker Excavating for 47 years. He also worked at RR Donnelley. John was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church, American Legion of Attica and Attica Masonic Lodge No. 367 F&AM. His business was his hobby that he truly enjoyed.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica with the Pastor Michael Padula officating. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica with graveside military rites being provided by the American Legion.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with a Masonic Service held at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Masonic Lodge, Attica American Legion, Attica Police Department or the Seneca County Humane Society through the funeral home.
