Rita M. Schultz, 94, of Fostoria, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born Dec. 21, 1917, in Carey, to Ralph E. and Theresa M. (Logsdon) Brown. She married Raymond V. Schultz Nov. 22, 1945, in Carey, and he died in 1986.
Surviving are four children, Jane (Dave) Faber and Henry "Hank" (Janine) Schultz, both of Fostoria, Janice "Sis" Fry of Holland and Patricia "Chip" Zelt of Palos Verdes, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel Schultz; and four brothers, Fr. Michael Brown OFM, Henry, Richard and Vincent Brown, her twin.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 3:45 p.m. A Secular Franciscans memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow the Mass in the parish hall.
Graveside services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Carey.
Memorials are suggested to the Secular Franciscans or St. Wendelin Church and School.
