A caller from Old Fort Banking Co., 634 W. Market St., reported Thursday morning someone was hiding in the bushes. Police checked the area and were unable to locate anyone.
A break-in was reported Thursday morning at Egbert Mower Repair Shop, 160 N. Washington St., According to the report, an air conditioner had been pushed in. Five chain saws were taken.
Fostoria reports
Larry L. Appleman, 35, of Fostoria, was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing official business Saturday.
A gasoline drive-off was reported Wednesday night at Circle K, 1245 N. Countyline St. According to the report, a person was arrested.
A break-in was reported Thursday morning at Lar-Land, 901 S. US 23. Three sheds had been entered.
A break-in was reported Thursday morning at Zender Electric, 966 S. Springville Ave. A break-in also was reported at Larry Rader Inc., 936 S. Springville Ave.
A caller from Quality Farm, 130 W. Jones Road, reported Thursday afternoon a person claiming they were from Fostoria Police Department contacted them and asked for money to sponsor a child. The caller was advised by the police that the call was a scam.

Megan L. Smith, 22, of Tiffin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia Saturday.
Randall L. Butler, of Bettsville, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a traffic device violation Monday night.
A 12000-block West TR 112 man reported Wednesday evening a dog killed some of his chickens.
A 4000-block West CR 38 man reported Wednesday evening his ex-wife opened a cell phone account in his name.
A break-in was reported Thursday morning at Highway 101 Auto Parts, 63 N. SR 101.
A caller from CSX reported Thursday morning a crossing house on TR 59 was broken into Wednesday night. Cards and fuses were removed from the crossing signal.

Firefighters were called to 77 Greenfield St. Thursday morning for an unintentional detector activation.

Sycamore firefighters were called to East CR 16 Thursday morning for a lift assist.
