Donna Jean Shiley of Casa Grande, Ariz., passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, peacefully in her sleep.
Donna was born Oct. 21, 1929, in rural Clyde, to the late Charles and Mildred (Bowersox) Colvin. She graduated from Old Fort High School in 1947, attended Otterbein College and graduated from Maumee Valley Hospital Nursing School. She passed her boards and went on to become a registered nurse. She married her high school sweetheart, Norman Shiley, Feb. 10, 1951, at Old Fort EUB Church, Old Fort, and he preceded her in death.
Donna is survived by four children, Pamela Cora of Fremont, Rodney Shiley of Phoenix, Ariz., Patricia Quick of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Mark Shiley of Tiffin; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Brown and Gladys Hallowell; and two brothers, Daniel and Richard Colvin.
Donna enjoyed geneaology and tracing her family tree, collecting glass salts, making puzzles and playing card games.
She will be greatly missed by her family. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
