Tiffin reports

A first-block Union Street woman went to the station Friday afternoon to report her car had been gone through Thursday night.

A woman reported Saturday afternoon a person in the 200 block of East Perry Street stole her dog. It was returned.

A person at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18, reported Saturday afternoon unauthorized use of a credit card for a $480.43 purchase.

A man reported Saturday evening Hymiler was selling Verizon cards that could not be validated and refused to give back his money.

A 200-block Elm Avenue woman reported Saturday night her 14-year-old daughter hit her.

A person reported Saturday night a person was assaulted at Clover Club, 266 S. Washington St. An ambulance was requested for a man who hit his head when he fell.

A person reported Sunday morning a Dumpster in the 100 block of Melmore Street appeared to have been set on fire overnight.

A person reported Sunday morning a woman was assaulted in the 200 block of Vine Street Saturday night. She had injuries to her face, and her wallet was missing from her purse.

Guy T. Kahler, 28, of Tiffin, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and weaving zig-zag course early Sunday morning.

A woman in the 200 block of East Perry Street reported Sunday morning the soft top on a car was cut.

A 300-block South Washington Street woman went to the station Sunday afternoon to report gas was syphoned from her vehicle.

County report

A deputy requested emergency assistance from Tiffin Police Department for an assault at Viaduct Bar and Grill, 84 N. Washington St., early Sunday morning.

Fostoria reports

A 1000-block North Union Street woman reported Saturday afternoon her house key was stolen.

Staff of the emergency room at Fostoria Community Hospital, 501 Van Buren St., reported Saturday evening it was treating a woman who had been assaulted at the Moose.

A woman in the 200 block of McDougal Street reported early Sunday morning a woman was on her front porch smoking marijuana.

A woman reported early Sunday morning she was struck by a vehicle in Arcadia during a domestic violence situation. A woman was taken to Fostoria Community Hospital.

A person from Kroger, 126 W. High St., reported early Sunday morning four people in the store were breaking items.

A person reported drug activity in the 300 block of South Poplar Street Sunday afternoon.

A 500-block McDougal Street woman reported Sunday afternoon her vehicle had been scratched with a key.

A 500-block Maple Street woman reported Sunday afternoon her boyfriend broke into her house. A person was taken into custody in relation to an assault.

Tiffin accidents

An accident was reported in the first block of East Perry Street Saturday afternoon.

A non-injury accident was reported in the first block of Erie Street Sunday morning.

County accident

Marjorie L. Mears, 86, of Tiffin, was cited with failure to control after an accident on North CR 43 Friday.

Fostoria accidents

Lamont A. Boff, 48, of Fostoria, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after an accident at West Lytle Street and Midblock Oct. 13.

James A. Ponn, 57, of Fostoria, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident at North Countyline Street and Perrysburg Road Oct. 16.

John T. Kromer, 73, of Fostoria, was cited with improper backing after an accident at Walnut and West Jackson streets Oct. 19.

Beryl W. Stewart, 84, of Wayne, was cited with failure to yield on a left turn after an accident at US 23 and Moose Lane Oct. 19.

Cassandra L. Shope, 22, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield at a red light after an accident at Main and South streets Oct. 20.

Angela R. Clemons, 22, of Fostoria, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident in the 500 block of North Countyline Street Oct. 20.

Melinda D. Bermudes, 32, of Fostoria, was cited with improper backing after an accident in the 200 block of East Fremont Street Oct. 20.

John R. Mullholand, 44, of Fostoria, was cited with assured clear distance ahead after an accident at Findlay Street and Independence Avenue Oct. 23.

Shirley J. Coppus, 76, of Fostoria, was cited with failure to yield right-of-way on a left turn after an accident at North Countyline and West North streets Oct. 23. She and the other driver, Merle F. Sterling, 72, of Fostoria, were taken to Fostoria Community Hospital by Fostoria Fire Division.

State Patrol accident

Gary Poole of Fostoria was cited with failure to yield after an accident at TR 112 and CR 7 Saturday evening. A passenger, Brittany Poole, 19, of Fostoria, was taken by Bascom EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Patricia Risner, 53, of Bascom, a passenger in the other vehicle, which was driven by Cody Risner of Findlay, was taken by Bascom EMS to Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

Tiffin fire

Firefighters were called to a gas leak at 432 S. Sandusky St. early Saturday morning.

Fostoria fire

Firefighters were called to a car fire at South Countyline and West Tiffin streets Saturday evening. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle with overheated brakes.

Firefighters were called to an odor investigation in the area of Sandusky and Buckley streets Saturday night. Nothing was found.

Firefighters were called to provide mutual aid with West Millgrove Sunday morning. They responded to Charter Steel to remove a patient from the facility's roof.

Firefighters were called to a smoke detector activation at 1000 Independence Ave., Apt. 17, Sunday morning. They found a toaster was shorted out, causing smoke. They unplugged the toaster, and the staff was going to discard it.

Firefighters were called to open burning at 347 Town St. Sunday evening. They found a resident burning trash, extinguished the fire and advised the person of open burning laws.

County fire

Green Springs firefighters were called to a pole fire on East CR 34 Saturday evening.
