Woman indicted on theft charges

A Tiffin woman was served a 10-count indictment last week alleging she stole from two elderly women and an elderly man at St. Francis Home in December and January.

Nicole M. Raitz, 33, was arrested after a Seneca County grand jury indicted her on five counts of burglary and five counts of theft for an elderly person for allegedly entering rooms and stealing items from elderly residents, according to court documents.

Items allegedly taken by Raitz include a clock, jewelry, a vase, two toy tractors and a purse.

If convicted of the third-degree and fifth-degree charges, Raitz faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $62,500.

Her bond has been set at $50,000, according to court documents.
