Billy "Bill" Nelson Holbrook Sr., 70, of Republic, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 6, 2012, at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born Oct. 23, 1942, in Whitesburg, Ky., to Robinson Nelson and Velta (Neice) Holbrook. He married Lois A. Cox July 23, 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Lois; four sons, Billy Nelson (Karen) Holbrook Jr. of Covington, Richie Dean (Sandra) Holbrook of Circleville, Glenn E. (Kerry) Feindel of White Pine, Tenn., and Brandon E. Holbrook of Washington, D.C.; one daughter, Kimberly Norell (Michael Lee) Potter of Jackhorn, Ky.; three brothers, Virgil (Ruth Ann) Holbrook of Tiffin, Fred (Wilma) Harts of Morehead, Ky., and Steve (Darlene) Harts of Seymour, Ind.; two sisters, Barb (Mark) Milroy and Mattie Weible, both of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Sherry Lynn Holbrook and Shelly Cleveland.
Bill retired in 2003 from Fostoria Industries, after 20 years. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, fishing, watching movies and he had many friends.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at Hoffmann-Gott-fried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-2424, with the Rev. Paul Tyree officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens Cemetery, rural Tiffin.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
