William ‘Bill’ Marshall Davidson

William "Bill" Marshall Davidson, 70, of Westerville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born March 18, 1942, in Tiffin, son of James and Jane Thirlkeld Davidson. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sadie and Nelson Vanderlip and Burd Hunter Grove.

He attended University of Cincinnati and graduated from Heidelberg College. Bill was a member of the EX Society at Heidelberg and retired from Columbus Public Schools as a teacher. He also enjoyed filming his family on the holidays and at sporting events.

Bill is survived by his wife, Laura Hernandez Davidson; two daughters, Jennifer Davidson and Amber (Jason) Woellert; three grandchildren, William Matthew-8 years, Abigail Marie-3 years and Maddox Marshall-4 months; three sisters, Jane (Wayne) Shepherd, Anne Comstock and Mary Davidson; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, with his memorial service to begin at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Central Region Office-FRAO, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017 or Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association, 300 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883.

Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather that was always there for his family. He was also an avid OSU fan and enjoyed watching his daughters play sports.
