CASA announces "Seneca and Wyandot County's Stars Dancing for CASA"

The second annual "Seneca and Wyandot County's Stars Dancing for CASA" fundraiser is set for Dec. 8 at Camden Falls, Tiffin. The event is sponsored by CASA of Seneca, Sandusky and Wyandot Counties.

Patterned after the national TV show "Dancing with the Stars," this evening features area dance teachers who are paired with local "celebrities" to present a routine for friendly competition.

This year's star dancers are: Rick Brodman, financial advisor and owner of Brodman Financial Solutions, Republic; Beth Brown, chief deputy clerk and bailiff for Seneca County Juvenile Court; Mike Herdlick, dean of students and a professor at Tiffin University; John Reino, owner of Reino's Pizza and Pasta; and dance team Kelle and Tyson Saull, Upper Sandusky. Kelle is a local attorney and Tyson is a contractor.

The dance studios providing instructors are Becky's School of Dance, Findlay; Bethlehem Dance Education & Ministry, Marion; and Heidelberg College.

Each dance team will present their routine at the event. Guests will then be given the opportunity to vote for the "star" dancer of their choice.

Each dollar donation counts for one vote.

The dancer receiving the most votes will be declared the winner of the People's Choice Award.

Hors d'oeuves will be served and a cash bar will be available.

All proceeds will be used to support the local CASA program, which provides trained volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the community.

Tickets are on sale for $30 at the Tiffin CASA office, 21 Court St. Call (419) 448-1442 to reserve tickets.
