Tiffin reports

Richard T. Shaffer, 48, of Bellevue, was charged with domestic violence for an incident in January 2011.

A first-block West Market Street caller reported Tuesday afternoon someone took 50 packs of unopened football cards.

A person from Calvert High School, 152 Madison St., reported Tuesday afternoon someone threw a cigarette butt into a window as they walked by the school.

A caller from Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18, reported two women had shoplifted Tuesday afternoon.

Trisha M.F. Reffitt, 24, of McCutchenville, was charged with theft Tuesday afternoon.

Deborah L. Broderdorp, 54, of McCutchenville, was charged with theft Tuesday afternoon.

A 200-block Circular Street man reported Tuesday evening a window on his vehicle may have been shot with a BB gun.

A 100-block Webster Street person reported Tuesday night someone tried to break into the residence earlier in the day.

A first-block Erie Street woman reported Tuesday night someone had just entered her vehicle. A person was positively identified, but the report does not indicate whether an arrest was made.

A shoplifter was reported early Wednesday morning at Circle K, 272 N. Sandusky St.

Ashley N. Gutierrez, 19, of Tiffin, was charged with theft early Wednesday morning.

James A. Phillips, 45, of Tiffin, was charged with obstructing official business, theft, possession of criminal tools and criminal trespass after a shoplifter was reported early Wednesday morning at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18. He was caught after he ran from the store, according to police reports.

A caller reported Wednesday morning a back door had been dented in the first block of North Washington Street. Several broken bottles also were found by the door.

A theft was reported Wednesday afternoon at Walmart, 2801 W. SR 18.

County reports

Clyde T. Bledsoe, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with possession of a controlled substance Tuesday. He also was cited with failure to control.

Justin L. Kessler, 39, of New Washington, was charged with open container Tuesday. He also was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and a vehicle equipment regulation violation.

A 2000-block South CR 43 man reported Wednesday morning he found dead animals that were left on his property. One was in the mailbox and the other was under a windshield wiper.

Fostoria reports

Brian L. Swartz, 43, of Fostoria, was charged with disorderly conduct for an incident Nov. 13.

John D. Howell, 43, of Fostoria, was charged with disorderly conduct for an incident Nov. 13.

Mitchull H. Blankenship, 18, of Fostoria, was charged with possession of marijuana Friday.

Angela M. Struble, 51, of Fostoria, was charged with disorderly conduct Saturday.

Dwight L. Struble, 55, of Fostoria, was charged with disorderly conduct Saturday.

Rudy Levario III, age unavailable, of Fostoria, was charged with domestic violence Tuesday.

A 100-block Taft Boulevard female reported Tuesday evening her 15-year-old brother had been burned with a cigarette by other kids.

A 1500-block North Countyline Street woman reported Wednesday morning someone entered her trailer and messed with her things.

Tiffin fire

Firefighters were called to 545 W. Market St. Tuesday afternoon for an unintentional smoke detector activation.

Firefighters were called to 82 Franklin St. Tuesday evening for an animal rescue.

Firefighters were called to 325 Hall St. Wednesday morning for a system malfunction.

County fire

Attica-Venice-Reed firefighters were called to South SR 4 Wednesday afternoon for a field fire.
