Gertrude ‘Carol’ Morgan Cooper

Gertrude "Carol" Morgan Cooper, 91 of Tiffin, died at 11 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Carriage Court Community, Grove City.

Carol was born Oct. 20, 1921, in New Riegel, to Warren and Nancy (Wolfarth) Adams. She married Jack Morgan in 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1981. She then married John Cooper and he also preceded her in death in 2007.

Carol is survived by her son, Ed (Nancy) Morgan of Sydney; a daughter, Barbara Barnhart of Orient; five grandchildren, Kimberly Barnhart of Houston, Amber (Jason) Herbster of Ohio, Kellen (Wendy) Smith of Indiana, Nicholas Smith of Indiana and Katrina Smith of California; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma Gilmore of Tiffin; plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol retired from Webster Manufacturing after 40 years with the company. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Tiffin, a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, McCutchenville, and a 1939 Fostoria High School graduate.

Carol was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and three sisters.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Grace Baptist Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Jerry Boylan officiating. Burial will follow at Sandridge Cemetery, Bascom.

There will be visitation for family and friends from 48 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at the church.

Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, Tiffin, or Harrisburg United Methodist Church, Harrisburg. Envelopes will be available at the church.
