Fostoria man hurt in Loudon Township crash

A Fostoria man was taken by Life Flight to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after a one-vehicle accident early Thursday morning on West SR 18 in Loudon Township.

According to a release from the State Highway Patrol, Michael J. Bouillon, 54, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet CK 2500 pick-up truck eastbound on SR 18 when he went off the south side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, a manhole cover and a culvert before overturning. His truck came to a final rest in a ditch.

According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, the accident occurred in the 11000 block of West SR 18 and Bouillon was thrown from the vehicle.

Bascom Fire and EMS, along with Fostoria Police and Fire, assisted at the accident, which was reported just before 5:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
