A one-vehicle accident on TR 56 near Alvada seriously injured two elderly women Monday evening.
Trooper Ivan Nunez of the State Highway Patrol said Marian Reinhart, 82, of Alvada, and Rose Hare, 89, of Upper Sandusky, were taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after Reinhart's vehicle went off the north side of TR 56, struck a culvert and overturned several times. The vehicle then came to rest on its side.
Nunez said the women had to be removed from the vehicle by mechanical means. He did not know the extent of their injuries Monday evening.

Two elderly women were taken by Life Flight to a Toledo hospital after their vehicle overturned Monday evening on TR 56 in Big Spring Township.
Nunez said the accident remains under investigation.
According to reports from the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, NBS fire and New Riegel EMS responded to the accident, which was reported just before 6 p.m.
