CLYDE - The Clyde Heritage League is hosting a local history event 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Clyde Museum and the General McPherson House.
The museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary at its current location, the former 1886 Grace Episcopal Church, 124 W. Buckeye Street, Clyde. The museum is decorated in a "silver bells" theme inspired by the 1951 film "The Lemon Drop Kid" and Bing Crosby's classic Christmas song.
Entertainment runs 1:30-2 p.m. Saturday with music by members of the First United Methodist Church Bell Choir directed by Wendy Brown, followed by organist Sharon Kinnear throughout the afternoon. Sunday, Happy Days Dulcimers are to play 2-4 p.m. The museum features new exhibits "dressed in holiday style," light refreshments and lemon drop souvenirs for children.

Share warm cider with Captain Mike Paden and his men, re-enactors from the 1st OVLA Battery H, at their campsites on the grounds of the General James B. McPherson House, corner of Maple Street and McPherson Highway, Clyde. Nelcy Elder of Clyde's Nifty Knitters is to give spinning demonstrations both days.
