Jaxon Daniel "Jak-Jak" Hamilton, 8, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in a house fire in Republic. He was joined in death by his parents, Joseph D. and Holly R. Hamilton; his brother, Linkin J. Hamilton; and sister, Olivia R. Bondy.
Jaxon was born Aug. 19, 2004, to Joseph D. and Holly R. (Adams) Hamilton. Jaxon attended second grade at Seneca East School. He enjoyed playing outside, rough housing with and hugging his siblings and playing with the family pets. Jaxon enjoyed people and animals; he was a tender-hearted boy. He liked going to zoos and wildlife parks; he loved to be outside. He especially enjoyed deer and giraffes.
Jaxon is survived by his paternal great-great-grandfather, George Bemke; his maternal great-great-grandmothers, Jean Adams and Renada "Ren" Funni; his paternal grandparents, Terry M. and Phillip C. (Dorie) Hamilton Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Willy (Lisa) Adams and Chris Adams; his paternal uncle, Phillip C. (Jaime) Hamilton III; cousins, Phillip IV, Jacob and Benjamin Hamilton; his maternal uncle, Joshua Adams; his paternal aunt, Nicole L. Hamilton; his maternal aunt and her daughter, Heidi Adams and Destiny Gurley; and a large number of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and step-relatives.
His memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
