Tiffin reports

An officer was flagged down Saturday evening for a report of a burglary.

Tommy Halcomb, 24, of Tiffin, was charged with drug paraphernalia and drug possession/abuse Saturday evening.

A 300-block SouthWashington Street caller reported Saturday night her son was being harassed on his cell phone.

A caller from Old Fort Bank, 634 W. Market St., reported Friday night that while working in the building, he thought he heard someone else in the bank. The caller requested an officer, but no one was found.

A person was escorted to Mercy Tiffin Hospital early Sunday morning after police received a call from a man who was distressed and upset.

A first-block Apple Street caller reported early Sunday morning being assaulted while he was sleeping in his garage.

A first-block Greenfield Street caller reported early Sunday morning a vehicle window was broken.

A first-block Quay Street caller reported Sunday morning vehicles were entered and a wallet was stolen.

A caller in the first block of Maplewood reported Sunday morning her car was ransacked.

A 400-block East Perry Street caller reported Sunday morning a vehicle was entered.

Beatrice Terrell, 20, of Ferndale, was charged Sunday with operating a vehicle under the influence (no test) and operating a vehicle under the influence (breath), and cited with failure to control.

County report

A caller reported early Sunday morning a disturbance involving physical fighting in the 1000 block of South SR 53.

Fostoria reports

A male shoplifter was reported Saturday evening at Kroger, 126 W. High St.

A caller in the 600 block of West Fremont reported Saturday evening someone cut his Direct TV cable.

A person was at the station Sunday morning to report someone was using her Kohl's credit card.

A person was at the station Sunday morning to speak to an officer about an assault that had occurred earlier in the day.

A gasoline drive-off was reported Sunday afternoon at Circle K, 551 E. Lytle.

A woman reported Sunday afternoon she had been involved in a money scam.

A caller reported Sunday afternoon he had been assaulted in the 600 block of West Tiffin Street. According to the report, there were no signs of an assault.

Tiffin accidents

A Tiffin juvenile was cited with failure to control after an accident Nov. 29.

A person was at the station Saturday evening to report being involved in an accident earlier in the evening, and both drivers had left the scene.

Fostoria accidents

Richard Moss, 36, of Missouri, was cited with improper lane change after an accident Nov. 23 on North Countyline.

A caller in the 600 block of West Center Street reported Saturday her vehicle was struck.

A single-vehicle accident was reported Saturday in the 100 block of West 4th Street.

A caller in the 1600 block of North Union reported Saturday evening a semi truck had hit a guard rail.

An accident occurred Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of Columbus Avenue. A citation was issued for failure to control.

State Patrol

Leland Hackworth, 22, of Findlay, was cited with a right-of-way violation Saturday evening after an accident on US 224. According to a spokesperson with the State Highway Patrol, Hackworth was traveling East on US 224 when he attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a car travelling West on US 224, driven by Brooke Baker 19, of Alvada. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, and Baker was transported to Mercy Tiffin Hospital, said the spokesperson. The extent of Baker's injuries was unavailable Sunday afternoon.

Tiffin fire

Firefighters responded to 300 S. Monroe St. Saturday afternoon for a false alarm.

Firefighters responded to 143 Madison St. Sunday morning for a smoke detector that activated due to a malfunction.

Fostoria fire

Firefighters responded Saturday evening to the 100 block of Fall Street for heavy smoke in the area. They found a resident burning yard waste. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and advised the resident of open burning laws.

Bascom firefighters responded to an accident Saturday evening on West US 224.
