Frances M. Bland, 97, formerly of Green Springs, recently of rural Attica, died at the home of her granddaughter Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Mrs. Bland was born Dec. 30, 1914, in Bradner to the now-deceased Jacob and Nettie (Welsh) Henline. In 1931, she married Arlo Hetrick, and he died in 1940. She then married Forrest Bland in 1945, and he died in 1996.
Her daughter, June Gumbert, died Feb. 5, 1998; and her son-in-law, Harry Gumbert, died in 2011. An adopted great-granddaughter, Diana Heibertshausen, also is deceased. Her sister, Florence Nelson is deceased.
Frances is survived by her granddaughter, Pamela (Kevin) Siesel of Reedtown; two great-grandsons; two great-great-grandchildren; an adopted granddaughter; two adopted great-grandchildren; and eight adopted great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, until the service at 1 p.m. at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Clyde, with the Rev. Diane Carter officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery.
